Kayo – “Foreign”

Toronto artist Kayo enlists the help of directors Kendall Straughn & Richard Jean for the release of his latest music video, “Foreign.” It’s been roughly a year since Kayo dropped his last album, Winter in St. Lucia, and fans have been anxiously waiting to get a sample of  what Kayo has been cooking up in the studio. When you look the body of work Kayo has released, there’s no denying that the emcee is one of the most versatile artists in the game right now. On any given project, Kayo blends his skill set as an emcee with his St. Lucia roots, giving us music that is warm, vibrant and soulful. “Foreign” is a prime example of Kayos’ unique style, as he flows in and out between  hard hitting bars and soulful melodies over the NE1 produced beat. “Foreign” is a very introspective track, and finds Kayo sharing some serious life gems throughout the record as he gives listeners insight to his personal experiences and struggles as an independent artists.
