Montreal Artist Mel Pacifico shares her latest single, “Own Thing“. Defined by her silky tone, vocal agility and signature lush arrangements, Mel has positioned herself as one of the next emerging Canadian R&B artists to keep on your radar.
After receiving her bachelor’s in Jazz Vocal Performance, Mel became a member of Montreal-based R&B / funk group Fredy V & The Foundation. While writing and co-producing for the group’s debut release, One Step EP, Mel also collaborated with renowned Montreal-based artists; singing backup vocals on stage and in the studio for Dominique Fils-Aimée, Charlotte Cardin, Karl Wolf and Busty & The Bass among others.
This latest release from Mel is a certified R&B banger as she delivers one of her most powerful vocal performances to date. Flowing over an up tempo instrumental from Luca the Producer and co-producer / band member Fredy V, Mel harmonizes empowering and autobiographical lyrics that celebrate living life by your own rules and compromising for no one.
