Rel McCoy & Peace 586 -“No more Soda”

Toronto artist Rel McCoy connects with Los Angeles producer Peace 586 for their brand new collaborative EP, No More Soda. Earlier this year Rel began to roll out the singles for this EP with the title track, “No Soda” and “Toys,” giving listeners a little sample of the heat the duo had been cooking up in the studio. As the title suggests No More Soda is a sugar free album, no gimmicks, just hip hop executed to its purest form. This seven track EP is filled with golden era inspired beats, heavy bars and hard hitting DJ cuts, hand crafted for the Hip Hop purists looking to break away from the current pop heavy state of Hip Hop. Be sure to check out the latest from Rel and Peace, and as always, share your thoughts below.

When Peace 586 hit me up and asked me to throw some bars on a beat of his back in 2019 I was amped! I have been a fan of his since I first heard him in the group Freedom Of Soul. Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity to work together. His response to the song I sent him back was a screen full of fire emojis! ha! We got on the phone, chopped it up and came up with a plan to work on some more songs… which is how No More Soda came to be. The idea was really just to put down some heavy bars, on some equally heavy beats, and that’s pretty much what we did.” – Rel McCoy
