Ruben Young ft. Terrell Morris – “Subtle Savage”

Toronto-based soul artist Ruben Young shares a captivating set of new visuals to his latest single “Subtle Savage.”  Enlisting directors What I Like Studios and artist Terrell Morris for a guest verse, the “Subtle Savage” video finds Ruben and Terrell in a tight bind, as they are held against their will by a dangerous video vixen with malicious intent. “Subtle Savage” is a record that highlights Ruben’s abilities as a song writer, as he weaves through a provocative story of love and loss over the records Neo soul inspired instrumental.

Ruben has been shaking up the R&B/ Pop scene for the past few years, and began receiving industry recognition for his tireless efforts in 2017 after releasing the single “Bad Habits” (produced by JUNO winner Classified). This record received many accolades including a nod from Complex, dubbing it one of the “Best Canadian Songs” on their famed Northern Touch List.

Since then, Ruben has co-written a hit single with Juno Award nominated vocalist Delaney Jane (“Psycho”); racked up over five million listens combined of his music online; and has received commercial airplay on everything from CBC to BBC Radio1 Extra.”Subtle Savage” will appear on Young’s upcoming Dreamstate EP.
