I was able to listen to the project on my way into to work, on the drive home last night and am currently listening to it this morning. Do You Drive is everything that that CTS fans could have hoped for as a Lil Mont from the Ave sequel. From a production standpoint, Clairmont has crafted an array of ambient synths, hard hitting drums and havy baselines that flow seamlessly from intro to finish, giving fans the perfect soundtrack to hit the the road with on a late night. As far as content, Clairmont weaves a narrative of his early beginnings to where he stands today in the industry, giving us a full circle understanding of what drives Clairmont as an artist and what he strives to achieve in the future. Do You Drive highlights the emcees growth and maturity as a lyricist and story teller while still bringing fans that iconic Lil Mont energy, the same energy which has been wining fans over since 2013’s Becoming a GentlemIIn.
